Design proposal for medium-density housing around an existing freshwater lake in Kota Kinabalu. Adopting a low-impact approach, the housing development is arranged in clusters around the natural boundary of the lake. A common spatial organising element utilised in the housing units is a linear 'breezeway' that both channels natural ventilation through the living space and serves as a circulation corridor.
